@steelershockey I love this club. It’s one of the most important things in my life. But please make some good changes this summer. I’d love a team that prioritises winning trophies, not bums on seats and entertainment. We can have both. Roll on August 🧡
@LORRAIN25481106@GBHockeyFuture I think it’s because they figured out that dual passports was a good loophole for getting “imports” in. Imports tend to be better than the British players, so more/better imports is an advantage. Leagues like the NIHL have a higher number of Brits, but the standard is lower.
@Alfiehwalker Yeah maybe. I think it has to be that in the last 5 minutes the player automatically receives a match penalty which carries over teams and seasons. So it doesn’t matter that their year is over. That might already exist tbf and I’m not aware of it
@GBHockeyFuture I think it’s a sort of last resort situation. Obviously there are exceptions, like Robert Dowd has been very good for many years, and Liam Kirk (plays in DEL now) is an exception, but generally the imports are more skilled and entertaining. I’d imagine we pay them more too
Real problem with the way the sport’s policed isn’t there. Game’s over and you’re not playing again all season. So why not go for a pathetic, cheap, dirty play just to make yourself feel big. No real punishment
57.49 | Sam Tremblay down on the ice and very slow to get up. Bradley Jenion leaves the knee out and he looks in real pain. Play under review for a major.

I’ve watched hockey for years, and never seen anything better than this Canadian child at the #SpenglerCup throwing M&Ms onto the ice and then celebrating #ThePeakOfHockey
