I would like to correct this. Due to delayed measurement and a novel concept known as evaporation my rainfall estimate may have been off. National weather service suggests we are an inch above average and received 2.5” not .7”
.5” of rain yesterday in Ames, IA (rain gauge located on South Side of Ames). Many would call this a good spring rain but we are so dry this doesn’t even start to catch us up. Many farmers worried about seed bed moisture.
Thanks to Central Iowa Seeds for the measurement tool!
