@nathanafinn I think you need to do more research on cheeseburger joints of the upstate owned by Greek families. It's a real shame if you don't know what I'm talking about.
@Kyle_JBritt So there was a snow storm the day I was born. My dad had to cut through fallen trees with a chainsaw to get my mom (and me) to the hospital. Makes for a great story!
@leahpfinn By chance, do you keep it "seasoned" with olive oil? That's a sure-fire way to produce smoke when you're preheating or cooking with it.A vegetable oil or even coconut oil may solve your problem. Also, I never go above medium-high heat.
The truth is, if I'm not bringing things back to Jesus, I've got nothing to say. He has the words of eternal life. & if our apologetics gets disconnected from him, I think we quickly end up arrogant or hostile in our approach. But you can't hold onto Jesus & keep your pride.
@jennfrey I’ve worked most of my professional career in comms. I’m fairly certain that a more technical degree would’ve been a hinderance compared to what I gleaned from Philospohy/literature/Christian studies.
@jennfrey "He stared gratefully at the back of Myrna’s head, at the pigtail that swung innocently at his knee. Gratefully. How Ironic, Ignatius thought. Taking the pigtail in one of his paws, he pressed it warmly to his wet moustache."
@LeahBSassy 🙌🙌 My grandad pastored for over 50 years and his favorite hymn was In the Garden. I went to seminary and heck, it might even be my fav at this point and I’m okay with it.
@Natdavewilliams Good thought here, Nathan! I always looked at this data according to world events, fall of communism, 9/11, etc. and not necessarily with how we handled ourselves inwardly.
