A572 Gr 50 is almost impossible to get rn. Price on standard thicknesses are up ~80% YoY & anything 2"+ is a unicorn

Mostly driven by structural and I'd expect builders to start buying more and more substitute materials

While I am a fan of industrial policy encouraging domestic production, one result of steel tariffs has been producers acting a little cartel-like

Crazy demand growth but mills operating at < 60% capacity. Why not keep OpEx and depreciation low if the market will eat the prices?
