A man of many hats: Ag Science & farming to aerobatics. PhD on enhancing omega-3 in lamb, family farming, fatherhood, Ag drones/UAV & consulting fill my days.
@agrohartrural @ggatenby The mental abuse they can heap onto you in an already tough situation is insane! I hope I don’t fail my children the same way!
@agrohartrural @ggatenby Had a succession classic today about drenching & how I was doing it wrong using my dogs to tighten the race & fill it up - had nearly 40 years to teach me & feels now is the time he can teach me after I’ve trained dogs to race & finished building the race we were using.
@MichaelKorjen@UTAS_ Yep, you have a great family company Nippies based out Waikerie making orange juice and top notch citrus all along the Murray in SA. Waikerie Gliding Club even run a week long flying Orange Cup flying competition.
@UnkyaBoy Toxic uses the shack as the central narrative focus of why he’s investigating the salmon industry. He signs his books and prints his name on the cover. Then when he sells said shack a realestate agent bound by law around truthful disclosures says the polar opposite of Flanagan!
Imagine if farmers behaved the same as Flanagan has with selling his fiction novel Toxic then selling his “toxic” shack showing his book to be mostly lies. Hypocrisy at its highest! Is the realestate agent lying or Flanagan?
@UnkyaBoy The sale of food and fibre by farmers in Australia is well covered under signed agreements and declarations such as LPA, NVD for grains to AWEX clip declarations. We simply don’t bullshit is what I’m saying - we have chemical residues, animal welfare concerns we sign for honestly
@UnkyaBoy Have a read of the add and watch the video, you can see the flathead on the edge of the weedbank with crystal clear water. Have a read of the add and see if it reconciled with his story’s narrative ... #hypocrite#integrity#salespitch#lies https://t.co/90f59kETpt
@ms_dines We need them to protect them and legislate access for all users of the water resources. Flanagan promotes inland fish farming and similarly 41 south salmon farm requires a lot of water and water management plans are critical.
@willbignell on @ABCthedrum calling out #haters.
"It's been a rationalization, and then everyone calls it industrialization. I just sit there and go : 'Oh, $#@*! I'm having a crack here. I'm feeding a lot of people I'm doing a pretty good job of it.’” #sustainability
@UnkyaBoy@freshy1973@ABCthedrum@bairdjulia I knew all the panel members personally before the show and all know my farm and my ethos. I supplied Franklin where Analise was head chef from the day it opened till the day it closed so she is very familiar with what I grow, how it tastes and it’s consistent quality.
@weewendles I don’t care about retweets and hyperbole of the social media bubble but I will call out someone defaming my character implying I’m chauvinistic. Perhaps before calling someone out in that way take another second to listen to the conversation and think before you tweet?
@ms_dines Have you ever read a river management plan? I have been involved in writing number of them. The broad sweeping statement is simply a lie. Tasmanian river & lake systems have legal frameworks protecting all users and values under adaptive management. The Murray isn’t every river
