Two rural water wins for Montana.

Senator @SteveDaines and I worked together to move the Crow Tribe Water Rights Settlement Amendments Act and the Fort Peck Reservation Rural Water System reauthorization through Congress.

Both measures are now headed to the President’s desk, helping keep critical water projects moving for communities across eastern Montana.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

Today, at MSU Billings, I attended a 9/11 remembrance ceremony honoring the lives lost and the first responders who ran toward danger.

Behind us are replicas of the Twin Towers and steel recovered from Ground Zero. We will never forget.

We need to prioritize rebuilding the American herd and give our ranchers the market stability they need to keep producing. We can work to lower prices without harming Montana ranchers through increased dependence on foreign beef.

I understand the President taking action to lower prices at the grocery store, but it cannot happen on the backs of our ranchers.

Montana producers cannot be asked to absorb the cost. We must protect our ranchers and strengthen the American cattle herd so American beef remains at the center of our food supply.

Montana rancher Neal Collins said a camera on his barn captured a "herd" of seven grizzlies on his property Monday night. The next morning, agents from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks hazed 10 grizzlies out of brush across the road from his place.
