We got a big box from a lacrosse team in the MAAC!!
It's from Mount St. Mary's otherwise known as THE MOUNT!
Thank you Coach Ryan and @Mount_MLAX good luck tomorrow vs Merrimack!!
In 2008 I tore my knee up. Out for the season. Only one person from the Organisation came to the hospital to see me. John Mara. I couldn’t believe it was him, I just started crying. And he just sat there until I fell asleep. Didn’t say a word. He will beat this for sure.
As we approach the 4Nations final, let's remember that Johnny Gaudreau should've been suiting up for this one.
One of the greatest United States national team members ever, holding the record for most points in the nation's history at the IIHF World Championship — with 43 in 40.
Georgia Built x @bradenerksa4
Hailing from Marietta, Georgia, Braden Erksa proves that reaching the next level isn’t just for players from traditional lacrosse hotbeds.
It’s Saturday morning in 2025. The first real Saturday of the year. Last Saturday doesn’t count, that was a preseason Saturday. Today is a real Saturday where you snap out of the dry January horseshit and realize that life is too short to not enjoy yourself. You made it 11 days. Fuck it. Thats enough. Why are you even doing this dumb shit anyway? Cause everyone else is? Fuck that. You only have a finite time while in your physical prime to mob around and stand in a circle while drunk in public with your buddies and comment on how hot girls are but not even consider talking to them. 1 Saturday won’t hurt. Or do dry February, be different. And it’s the shortest month so it’s easiest. Why did they give black history month to February btw? The shortest month? Something to think about. Sometimes it’s not even a full month. Pretty racist to me. Morgan freeman has the best take on February. Look it up. Real.
Anyways. It’s one of those mornings where you’re thinking to yourself: how is it that a large % of everyone’s income gets taken via taxes and then you buy something and that’s taxed too and also tons of money goes to foreign stuff but then when disaster happens in America it seems like besides some infrastructure shit, it’s up to the people to create their own relief funds for a full personal rebuild, etc. fuck insurance, we all know people will have to battle those companies for a fair shot at recouping anything. Will insurance cover a lot? Hopefully. Maybe. But will they screw some people…yes. It’s a numbers game. Shouldn’t there be more help from the government with that? Should be automatic. They say they will, but will they? They gave people in Hawaii like 40 dollars lol. I fully understand that George bush is sneaky a war criminal (they all are, that’s just business I guess) and figured out that we need to dish out money overseas in various ways in order to take control and make a bunch of cash (fuck the GDP, we will go rob some shit off the books), but why can’t we use a little of that for our citizens? But anyways yea it’s one of those mornings where all these thoughts are running through my head but the only thing I really want to do is have drinks at breakfast lol. Just to be a little shithead at a local biker bar or something. Start early. Go to the ASU hockey game, maybe casino, and be in bed by midnight. That would be so awesome. That’s all I wanna do today
The definitive Johnny Gaudreau forever young hockey moment. 12 years ago. He's 18 years old. Ices the 2012 NCAA Championship game. Comically quick feet, hands, and brain. His comp for me was always Allen Iverson--I covered both in college. Impossibly small and skinny (JG MIGHT be 140 pounds here) yet dominated the game and had GIGANTIC respect from his peers. Gaudreau was looked at as a freak and a savant who thought and played the game quicker than everyone else because he had to. Look at his face here--pure joy. A unique Christmas decoration who lit up the game whenever he hit the ice. With Johnny Gaudreau, there was always the possibility of a moment like this. An electric star who made the sport better by his art yet was grounded in his foundational principle: a big, loving family and countless friends is more important than anything. Humility and humanity personified. A son, brother, husband, father, and friend. For life.
