@BeanJuiceStudio Self-taught. Most of my coding career has been self-taught or learn-on-the-job. Took 1 module on computer science for physics (90% Fortran) and everything else I just learnt as I had/wanted to.
I do wonder if I would be faring better with some structured education on it! 🤷‍♀️

Its a tiny step, for sure. Mentally/emotionally its overshadowed by the fact that I almost certainly won't make the deadline for #steamnextfest this summer and will need to wait until the Autumn.
But its still an achievement along the road. Small victories!

Having struggled with (f)unemployment for a while, I've concluded that to get responses to job applications, I have to focus purely on #gamedev. When I any make progress on my #incremental #godot #indiegame & have any motivation for it, I'll hear back from swarms of recruiters 😬

On this hot weekend, created scenes in #godot for my #indiegame store page. I used the existing CRT shader and assets (the best my artistically challenged self can hope for). I think it turned out... 3.6 roentgen? (not great not terrible). One step closer.. #indiedev #gamedev

- Swamp cooler
- Open all your windows at night to let the heat out
- Migraine cooling patches
- Wrap icepack in towel for your neck

Please be patient to UK content creators

We are currently being hit with a pretty intense heatwave, meaning we'll probably be working a tad slower, have less energy and may even need to take a break from our PCs to prevent them from overheating

Also none of this "Well we have it hotter over here" bs:
- UK heat is built different
- Most of us don't have ACs since we rarely NEED them for most of the year
- Our houses are built to keep heat in due to how cold our weather can get
- We aren't as used to hot weather given how 80% of the year, UK weather isn't hot

We're not trying to dispute who has it worse/hotter, we just want patience and understanding 🙏
