@JosieLopez0312 It could also create fear in young readers, could make them think that once they become a teenagers life is gonna be filled with hardships. Which in turn could limit the amount of younger readers in YA lit.

@StudAlexWelch We tend to think in situations like these that we need to have more diversity and inclusion to check the box and make stats better; but we need to create a society that realizes that it's more important for the people than the static.

@AdamMaida15 I agree 100 percent, kids need to see that anyone is capable of anything, no matter the background. I think the inclusion of more books for kids that have minority characters is a great thing that needs to happen more often.
