My dad was just fined ₦50,000 by the family for giving "wicked advice," and I can't even stop laughing.

My dad’s cousin has an only daughter (20 years old). She travelled from Lagos to Calabar to visit her aunt. Because of crazy traffic, she didn't get to Calabar until 1:00 AM.

She called her aunt multiple times, but she didn't pick up.

A 20-year-old girl in a strange city at night. She managed to find her way to the house by 1:30 AM and knocked on the gate. Her aunt actually came out to the gate, but refused to open it.
Her reason? "It is too late. And she has principles in her house. And she also said ,What if thieves followed you? I have to protect my own family."
The girl was crying, begging that she didn't know anyone and desperately needed to use the toilet. Her aunt told her to go look for a hotel in the middle of the night, turned her back, and went inside to sleep.
By pure luck, a soldier returning home saw the girl stranded and crying at the gate. He took pity on her and gave her a place to stay for the night.
The next morning, the girl charged her phone and called her father to explain what happened.

Her father didn't shout. He didn't fight. He just silently stopped the monthly allowance he had been sending to his sister (the aunt), and immediately stopped paying her three children's school fees.
The extended family called an emergency meeting. They said the man was being "too harsh" on his sister.

The man was frustrated, so he called my dad to vent. My dad listened to the whole story and told him: "You are actually being too soft. Evict her and her husband from that house in Calabar. After all, you are the one who built it!"

Yes. The house the aunt locked the 20-year-old girl out of actually belongs to the girl's father! 💀

When the extended family heard the advice my dad gave, they paused the original case, dragged my dad into the matter, and fined him ₦50,000 for "escalating the issue and bringing wicked ideas." 😂

The reason @GovWike is going all out for Tinubu is not really about Tinubu.

Wike is trying to make a statement in the Nigerian political space.

He wants 2027 to prove that he is a politician who can control structures, influence elections and deliver states when it matters.

Because once you build that reputation, you become a valuable vice-presidential option to the next Northern force after the South completes its 8 years.

Imagine a future Northern presidential candidate looking for a strong Southern running mate.

That is @GovWike’s game.

And if he successfully demonstrates that kind of political power in 2027, people will listen.

Then comes the longer game.

After another Northern political cycle, power will eventually return to the South again.

By then, Wike would present himself as the next EMILOKAN.

A man who has helped determine presidential outcomes across different election cycles.

That gives him a stronger argument for the presidency.

So when I watch how desperately Wike wants to make a statement in 2027, I don’t just see loyalty to Tinubu.

Scaring Investors While Celebrating Macroeconomic Stability!
As the APC-led government continue in their delusional celebration of Nigeria's macroeconomic stability, the warning from the United States Government to prospective investors on inherent risks in Nigeria, further affirms the general and correct assessment that President Bola Tinubu-led government is incompetent, ineffective and corrupt.
In the 2026 Nigeria Investment Climate Statement, the U.S. Department of State clearly flagged corruption, insecurity, inconsistent regulatory enforcement and weaknesses in the judicial system, cargo delays and power sector challenges as key factors undermining investor confidence in Nigeria. The report went further to caution investors of the possible use of arbitrary detention, travel restriction and immigration enforcement to coerce foreign businesses in Nigeria.
As the report unambiguosly stated: “U.S. businesses are advised that standard business trips can escalate into detention if the firm is under regulatory suspicion or faces charges by Nigerian authorities. Nigeria has previously employed coercive exit bans and arbitrary detention as leverage in commercial or regulatory disputes, and to extract data or financial concessions from multinational firms. Port inefficiency remains a significant “hidden tax” on investment. While the Lekki Deep Seaport, which opened in 2023, significantly eased pressure in 2025 — handling $9.6 billion in trade and operating at 50 percent capacity — traditional ports in Apapa and Tin Can still suffer from cargo dwell times exceeding 20 days due to manual examinations.”
In a nation with an effective, competent and attentive government, this kind of adverse report would have elicited immediate intervention by the President and Commander in Chief ordering prompt investigation, follow-up and effective action to ensure that our most endowed Nigeria is not perceived negatively by one of our key trading partners, friendly nations and expectedly the global economy. This is even more important given our desperation for Foreign Direct Investment.
Unfortunately, our incompetent APC- led government cannot give what they don’t have as they are the real perpetrators of the issues raised by the U.S. Government. This explains why Nigeria is unable to attract Foreign Direct Investment commensurate with our market size and potential. Of the $10.37 billion in total capital importation in the first quarter of 2026, only $135.08 million (about 1.3% of the total inflows) was Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), while about $9.86 billion (about 95.1% of the total inflows) went into Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) with loans and other capital streams accounting for the remaining.

A Total of 9 Toll gates were agreed upon for the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway. Each Toll Unit will charge N3,000 for cars and N5k for Trucks. Nigerians are expected to Pay this Tolls on that Road OVER A 15 year TOLLING PERIOD.

A $1.87 billion loan was borrowed by the Tinubu administration from Deutche Bank, Afrexim Bank and First Abu Dhabi group for that Highway. Every Investor in that Room knew that A whole new Lagos to Calabar route CAN NEVER BE AS LUCRATIVE as the current East West Legacy Corridor filled with Travelers, Transporters, Goods & Traders plus a huge December travel Upsurge season.

The Devil works Hard but APC works harder. Umahi knew what he was doing from Day 1. THEY WERE NEVER BUILDING ANY ROAD TO CALABAR. Thats why the EIA never Fucking mattered to start with. Intelligent Nigerians were doing Geography and Topography maths for our Govt. Explaining to them that the Highway will need over 70 bridges to navigate the swamps of the Naija Delta alone etc. It didn’t matter. The Road was Never going to go tru the original Map Umahi posted publicly. 🤣 The Lagos end is completed and has boosted their Eko Atlantic phase 2 project. Zero Toll Gates were erected.

This people actually planned to put the 9 toll Gates along the East West Corridor.

The EAST will be the ones made to Pay for that 15 year Loan eventually. The Lagos end is clearly Untolled. Any investor looking to recoup an almost $2 billion Loan is not waiting for Umahi’s ridiculous 8 Yr Construction Timeline to build that new Road when a profitable route already exists. They sold Nigerians a smoke screen from Day 1. A very Unfair and diabolical plan if you ask me.

Just to Prove my Conspiracy theory right. Any Journalist that gets to Interview Minister Dave Umahi moving forward Pls ask him a simple question. Where does he Exactly plan to place the 15 year loaned 9 TOLL GATES along that Route? and I will be proven Right. I bet you he will answer Benin Bypass, Agbor, Asaba, Onitsha, Oba/Nnewi junction and 9th mile. If he even answers you at all. 😎
