@JeremiahDJohns We are watching different sports
I never missed any of these games back in the day.
Today, I watch 10 minutes of my own team in the playoffs, and I’m disengaged.
@BravesStash He’s been massively underwhelming at the plate since 2023. Saw him go 0-4 in the last game recently in ATL and he never looked so lost except maybe his first full year in the bigs, in 2017
Oh my God, @chrisdimino just dropped multiple napalm hits on CJ Nitkowski. In an incredibly diplomatic way.
Waiting for @MattandChuck to cue this up for an audio fun bag-type segment.
@680TheFan
@Marine_Marathon I jumped in the queue at 10:06 am, screen says “you’re almost at your destination” but it’s said that the last 15 minutes. Another pop-up screen said my turn started at 2:00-something PM
What to make of this? 2:00 pm is in 4+ hours …
@BNightengale And are you really still refusing to say Braves … why?
The name isn’t changing. They have blessings from and an alliance with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
@BNightengale Yes to all of this. But any reasonable person can look at what the dodgers have done - and how it’s influencing others to trade away elite players before they hit free agency because, why bother? The dodgers will just get them. Anyone can see things are totally out of whack.
@ZuberATL@680TheFan@RealMattlanta I’m sure Mike Bell and Steak and those guys are thinking it but they’re not allowed to say it.
By being the flagship you also become a de facto public relations arm for the team.
680 is as brutally honest as they can be about the Braves.
@FrontOfficeLos I was excited about Raheem at first. Thought he had grown enough in LA under McVay.
It is so obvious now that he is one of the worst HCs in the NFL
Fontenot has slowly been proving himself to be out of his depth. Both evolutions happened separate of each other. Is what it is.
As a baseball fan, I can’t enjoy what Ohtani is doing, because baseball’s financial disparity is such that his story could only ever happen in the most wealthy coastal bubbles of this country.
Rich people showing off fancy toys, that’s all it is in LA and NYC.
@BeaneaterB The Schwarber thing is whatever. He will massively fall off a cliff at some point
Diaz - that move just pushes us closer to a lockout. I’m preparing for no baseball in 2027 or however long it takes players to figure out they can’t beat the owners on the cap issue
@weaver_cards Brutally bittersweet to watch that team come together in September, but just a little too late. Their pitching could have matched anyone in a 5 game series.
Hanson was a shooting star. So tragic.
