Since I’ve been on Council, tutors’ wages have been lifted above the Living Wage. This came after 9 years of workers and students campaigning.
The chamber was filled with 150+ in protest twice last year to support the motions I put forward.

In my first year, I successfully campaigned to scrap the laundry fee in halls that cost students ~$300 a year. I will keep pushing VUW to make life better for students and workers.

Quite funny that a good 80% of the takes I've read slamming WCC's reversal of the airport sale decision are based on very confident yet entirely incorrect assumptions about what was actually proposed. Here's some info in case anyone is genuinely interested:

All the virtue signalling disintegrates when an Olympic female boxer takes two hits from an opponent who previously failed a gender test, abandons the match, and sobs in the middle of the ring.
It’s a shocking example of why biological men should not compete in women’s sports.
It isn’t about being anti anyone or anything. It’s about safety and fairness in sports.
I’m devastated to hear about the loss of Efeso Collins. He was a warm and passionate leader who cared deeply about his community. My thoughts are with his whānau and friends.
