Our school council set up and promoted 'Odd Socks Day' today. They wanted a positive, fun way for us to express ourselves and to remind everyone that we are all different and that is brilliant!

This half term we have been focused on our Embrace Challenge value. Home challenges have been completed and we had an afternoon pairing up with other classes to complete various challenges.

Year 5 used their grit and embraced many challenged during their PGL residential. Canoeing, fencing, zip wire, high wire, camp fires and so much more!

Year 6 had a fantastic opportunity this half term to take part in an Into-University focus week with the theme of creative arts. They got creative, visited an art exhibition, learnt about some inspiring people in the arts industry. They are all feeling inspired!

What a fabulous Music Camp we had this year! Here is a snapshot of the first day of camp - learning to read music through outdoor play and in-class teaching, stamping, walking and dancing in the beautiful setting of Ilam followed by a thrilling night walk.

Year 6 had a practical transition session with Into-University today. They practised: reading timetables, packing school bags, communication skills and organising homework. They also used their Oracy skills to offer advice for transition worries.

Year 2 had a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park to support their learning. They are considering the question, 'Are Humans more important than animals?'

Year 3 had an immersion day to compliment their learning about African cultures. They spent the day creating tribal masks and creating beats and rhythms on the Djembe drums.
