@1962Vali @racingblogger It was Good ground at weekend. They got 6mm the other day when Catterick got barely anything and 3mm in the hour before racing. Of course it will slow the ground.

Then given the rain at York today the ground would have been firm at best, horses slipping and sliding all over the place like they did back in the day at places like Lewes and Lanark when it rained on firm or hard ground. No doubt you would moan at that too.

@racingblogger He didn't say anything of the sort. Had watering not taken place then the ground at EVERY single Racecourse in the country would be hard and the grass resemble the unwatered NH tracks you see up and down the country at present.
