I don’t think PA will have a DSA senator for a long while. The only DSA esque person who has the name rec to run is Summer Lee, and I have doubts of her willingness to run in 28 when two other Pittsburgh candidates are running. 2030 will almost certainly be Shapiro if not 2028.

The moral of PA 2024 Senate isn’t that “candidates should campaign”, its that Democrats (or any party really) need to elect capable leaders within the party apparatus. The way you lose elections is the ground game as much as it is candidate quality.

He was more of a Washington negotiator (which has gone out of style), the real blame lies with the complete failure of the state party. Especially in Philadelphia, PADems could not get the votes out for any candidate in 2024. The leaders were incompetent, Brady and Street extra.
