I hate that it has even come to this, but as an Igbo man, watching our political leaders act completely helpless is genuinely sickening.

Where is the pride in our heritage when the politicians elected to represent us only show strength when it comes to suppressing their own people?

How can someone like Sunday Igboho walk freely, organize thousands of men publicly into security networks, and operate without a single threat from federal authorities and they are even calling him chief… while Nnamdi Kanu remains locked away in prison for doing the exact same thing to protect eastern communities from armed herders and bandits?

Nnamdi Kanu tried to work within the system, but the moment he stood up to defend his people, the whole system labeled him a terrorist.

Meanwhile, other regions set up regional outfits and get treated like statesmen. The double standard is clear, and the silence from our own leaders is embarrassing.

I am calling directly on @Hope_Uzodimma1, @CCSoludo, and every South East governor: stop acting like spectators in your own home.

Demand the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu. Show some backbone, protect your people, and stop letting external narratives define us.
