@PaulTassi Official Destiny 2 Celeb here:
Interestingly Division 2 was considered "Dead" for a while, and didn't get much support,
but the Community stuck with it so much so, that they decided to Re-Invest in it,
and now it has a bunch of new content!
So ya never know... 👀
Destiny 2 announces end of life and suddenly the most incredible tech wizards in the Destiny community create working exploration builds of Destiny 1 on PC and iconic Destiny 2 vaulted content.
Love it.
This is huge and hopefully more devs come out now that the destiny franchise is technically defunct with no future. (Although I wish it wasn’t, put down your pitchforks)
I hope more projects like this come out
BIG UPDATE OUT NOW
We've added:
- Sign-in with Bungie
- Discord integration
- Missions & triumphs
- Account customization

and more!

Thinking about the years of destiny late at night is genuinely devastating man it was so much more then a game
I will never forgive bungie/sony for destroying such a game it brung so many people together and they just threw it away I really can’t believe it
as of now, august 18th will be my last day as 'datto does destiny'. i plan on retiring from the game and content creation for the game. deadlock will be my new home going into the future (along with variety). i'll have more to say when we get closer to the 18th.
Carnage Within...
While we still don't have a final TWID on the calendar yet, we have plans to keep the art and movie community emblems flowing in the near future.
Great montage, Frost. Thank you for your years of absolute destruction in the Crucible.
Next Tuesday we will have a short amount of downtime and background maintenance for Destiny 2. There will be a small download alongside it, but this is not a large patch. We have a minor display fix for expansion pricing in the game.
We do not want players, returning or new, to be mislead or confused by incorrect listings in the game, especially when they’re just getting back up to speed with Monument of Triumph and previous expansions.
Stay tuned for more details on downtime next week.
Warframe creative director Rebecca Ford had a simple message for anyone making a live-service game: “Just try and make a good game before they kick you out.”
Talking about Bungie moving on from major Destiny 2 expansions, she said: “It’s horrible news.”
Ford said every live-service studio can learn from what happened to Destiny 2, but at the end of the day, business decisions are often out of developers’ hands. As she put it: “The business side of this industry always gets the last remark.”
“That’s not the first time it’s happened, and it’ll happen again.”
So destiny is at end of service, half the studio is gone, the game that they did invest in just lost its game director and many high level devs, and as far as we are aware there are still ZERO greenlit incubation projects
What on earth is going on?
