Addiction and suicide survivor. Learning to love. Someone said it best in the 60's. Love the person that does the evil deed. Hate the deed, not the person.
@RevIsaacWirtz@Asamatterof44 No creed nor doctrine of any church can change Jesus. Salvation is a free gift. This triune god you worship has convinced you that publicly judging is the right thing to do. Also has you adding a work. You don't see the irony? You make the case of an apostasy for them.
@MichaelSuntribo In the LDS framework, there's a difference: standard Christian "eternal life" is what we call salvation/immortality. A free gift for all to live forever in glory. Eternal life specifically means exaltation in the highest kingdom, which I can accept that you don't believe in.
@LastLightNorth @PetGorilla If a community of ‘tree stumps’ taught me how to triple my income while your high IQ has you crying about my finances on X, maybe you should find a better stump. You actively lease a blue badge for an audience that could fit inside a single school bus.
@surskitmaxxing I actually never heard of this alternative day or heard anyone complaining about it in 5 years in Utah. As a convert it makes sense to me that out of staters wouldn't know the history. Half the people I meet are from California that's where I'm from.
@gwowls My ward did in Oregon. I was a convert and didn't understand what they were doing until I moved to Utah. Now it makes sense. Was a big bbq every year and people would dress up as pioneers.
@ThoughtfulSaint@Mormonger@realDailyWire@RealMattFradd A lot of us LDS were already out over other things non "Anti" related. If you calculate the amount of Catholic opportunities against the few remaining LDS subscribers it makes sense. Candace may be influencing Catholics away too. Christians eat this stuff up. Good move for 💰.
@stackerco It will still grow overall. Worldwide. But all the original families had to go through a process of seeing beliefs shift. It will become more streamlined to the new apologetics and resurge in the US. @LDSFarmer comment above is spot on. The kids see a corporate bureaucracy.
@stackerco@BlackBlessedLDS Heh this tracks with my experience. Personally going through the time when you notice you can't use your body for all the things that used to bring you joy. Going hard mountain biking, skateboarding, soccer and your vision starts to suck even with glasses hah.
@MTN_Climber01@hiwerth781@JasminRappleye They could add more teachers? My mid-singles ward has 6 teachers and 3 classes every other week. So I currently only teach on the first Sunday. Now I'm assuming I teach every other Sunday. I guess we will see.
@stackerco I tried once and I have no recollection but waking up in the hospital. That was before becoming a Latter-day Saint. I was broke and addicted. The church helped me out of that mess. I think we're better off with less technology to be honest. Society becomes less natural over time
Hey @RealMattFradd I think you might owe it to me to be able to come on and address the claim that Mormons are atheists.
That’s a bold thing to assert on a major platform like the @realDailyWire without allowing us to give our side of the story.
Reach out to me. I’d be happy to come on.
Retweet if you agree.
@scarlett4kids It's even more disturbing because they have been using this quote a lot recently. We were using it during the lockdowns.
"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."
-George Orwell, 1984.
@BarbellFi@YodaStockInvest I think it's natural greed. The more I make the less freedom I have. We were happy to maybe get here one day and when you get there then you want to make another mountain to climb. I get anxious the more I have.
@dortner1@MattTestifies Yes I know that you know that. I was speaking to you knowing you are former LDS. So I could progress you on your journey a bit :). I actually enjoyed this. I'm aware I'm the lost sheep Jesus leaves his 99 for. A black sheep at that. He's our Savior. Grateful. God bless.
