The most important thing one can do is to keep your priorities in perspective: Christ, Family, Community

@BarackObama I agree‼️

How do you treat people you don't need? A true evaulation of your character!

Sadly #WillSmith, tonight, you have taken away from everyone involved in King Richard's hard work! No one will be talking about the film's nominations or your win now.

#Insecure has turned neighborhoods, businesses and restaurants south of the 10 into the new #BlackHollywood! Instead of the Hollywood sign or the house from Boyz N the Hood, Issa has showed the world what we already knew, there is much more in between!

Our neighborhoods are communities where Black families support each other, where Black-owned businesses have served patrons for decades, where local art and culture are booming, where millennials are educated and intelligent.

By focusing on South L.A., specifically businesses & landmarks in Crenshaw, Inglewood, Ladera Heights, Baldwin Hills, View Park, Leimert Park & West Adams neighborhoods the show represents the South L.A. that many blacks see in our communities.

I can appreciate how each episode of Insecure is a cinematic experience. Every scene and every location is lit masterfully. Insecure always does lighting right and the final results are always regal and breath taking!

Binge-watched Season 5 of 🙌🏾#Insecure. I choose to not focus any of my commentary on the final story lines. What I would like to highlight is the cinematography and Issa's love letter to South Los Angeles (formerly South-Central)!

Recently visited The National Memorial for Peace and Justice (#NationalLynchingMemorial). As we honor the emancipation of the enslaved let us not forget all of those who were terrorized and lynched in this country. @MemPeaceJustice

Biden I do not agree with the anti-Asian hate bill being passed before anti-lynching bills. Why haven’t we got an executive order, or any other actvity, coming out of the Oval Office to protect Black people from police?

You know how you got your vaccine without paying a dime? That’s how all health care could be.

12 years is no longer enough to compete in the 21st century. That’s why the American Families Plan guarantees four additional years of public education for every person in America — two years of universal, high-quality pre-school and two years of free community college.
