Differentiation is not just about academic needs, but also relational needs. Some students need to vent, encouragement, a hug or even a push to excel. These are as important as academic needs. Education is relational after all.
Effective teachers never give up on any student because they know each one has significance, value, and a purpose, even if the student doesn’t realize it yet.
Knowing I’ll have my own classroom in the near future it is so important to pay attention to our society and how it is shaping us as educators and our students. Educate yourself, learn to love and accept others, be the voice for the voiceless! We can be the change#UABEEC301SUM20
