@AmericanAir flight 5179 from CLT to TLH was delayed last night until we were told we had to wait to this morning. En route, we got diverted "due to weather" to GNV, and no one has given us a straight answer about when we can leave. Meanwhile 2 @Delta flights have left.
@AmericanAir Staffing of flights so that they don't get delayed further. Choosing better airports to divert to when that needs to happen. Double-checking basics like "Did we remember to re-load this entire plane's luggage?"
@AmericanAir You realize I'm not mad about delays or diversions, right?? I understand that these things happen, and it's usually out of anyone's control! What I'm mad about are all of the things IN YOUR CONTROL: Communicating with passengers proactively and with empathy. Not hiding.
@AmericanAir@Delta People have lost days of vacation, and now, can't even take a shower and change into clean clothes. My wife spoke with an active duty military member who has now lost 2 days of 7 he had for leave.
@AmericanAir@Delta Every single person on this flight has been respectful, have been gracious, have been so much less short-tempered about this than I am now, but we all deserve a huge apology from you, accompanied with some kind of real, genuine compensation.
@Komaniecki_R I'm confused -- what's the scam exactly? Do these folks ask for payment for the goods? Or is it followed up with some kind of phishing response? Something else?
