@CinemaTweets1 Season one of The Capture on the BBC back in 2019 is Callum Turner’s best demonstration in my humble opinion. He’s tremendous in a tense and morally complicated character role and, with Holiday Granger, stars.
Scottish names like ‘Mackenzie’ and ‘Dalziel’ used to be written with the Anglo-Saxon letter yogh (Ȝ) that was pronounced like ‘yh’. Because of its appearance, early printers represented it with ‘z’ which gave rise to modern spellings and pronunciations.
Sitting on the beach on my honeymoon, as happy I one could be, when Noah Kahan’s song Dan came on - and I burst into tears because it reminds me of John, who we lost four years ago. Grief knows no boundaries huh.

This was such a wonderful read. Huge congratulations to the investigative teams at BBC Russian and BBC Uzbek, and of course the heroic figures in the story itself. Wonderful ❤️
@alitekintr I’m sure you’d agree other glaring omissions are The West Wing, The Pitt, Ted Lasso, Derry Girls, Shrinking, Big Boys, The Newsroom, Gavin and Stacy, Luther, (24 - it’s influence on box set culture) and, more recently, 1888 + 1923, Jury Duty, Daisy Jones and the Six?
All one can assume is that no-one at the BBC has watched Shoresy (https://t.co/xAUtXSglRU), because I’ve seen almost every show on this list and it’s at least Top 30. One of the very best shows still being made🔥
Huge thanks for the five wonderful, caring and kind staff at @RoyalMail’s Edinburgh Mail Centre yesterday. Two managers especially went above and beyond to find a parcel we needed for this morning’s honeymoon ❤️
How does one move on with their life knowing that after three months of The Pitt, there’s a dark, despairing nothingness for maybe a year or something after tonight/tomorrow 😩🫠
SING STREET was released 10 years ago today.
Often considered underrated, John Carney wrote original songs for the film, using music as the emotional core as the band evolves alongside the characters.
@themikedoug I am so excited to talk to you about it endlessly when you’re through s1. If it’s possible to believe, the second half and last quarter of the season is literally *phenomenal*
I’m not exactly complaining but I find it very hard to understand how Shrinking can make a season 4 after absolutely landing the perfect 3 season arc with its final sequences. What a fantastic finish.
