Liker of pie, games and math; hater of stupidity, childishness, and just people as a whole.
We all talk rubbish, I'm just honest about my habit to do so. π
So much toxic energy on social media of late. So much chatter along the lines of "you shouldn't be angry at this as you should be angry at that and if you're not you're part of the problem." There are lots of big issues out there, since when can I only be angry at one at a time?
When exactly as a people did so many of us adopt a mentality of if this person or these people has/have it worse then it's insensitive to remotely mention what you're thinking or feeling? We want a united equal society yet everything has to be double standards or a competition.
A Brazilian politician has gotten backlash after attempting to argue that if makeup doesn't make you black then surgery doesn't change gender by going blackface. In other words, being racist in expressing transphobic attitudes.
Proof that two wrongs don't make a right.
I'm not saying that the topic of Nicholas Brendon's misdeeds has never come up before but seeing THIS level of attention and drama mere hours/days after his passing feels so disrespectful to the loved ones he left behind and to a lesser extent his fans. Show some respect please.
Sad to hear of the early passing of Nicholas Brendon. It goes without saying he was a troubled man but I greatly enjoyed him on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I thank him for his contribution in that. I wish him peace from all the demons he dealt with throughout his life.
The level of compulsion so many people have to flag when a video is AI made is just stupid. Being AI made doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable and most of us know only AI can have snakes turn into badgers or have Hermione Granger show audiences her boobs so where's the point in it?
@MrBeast@MrBeast_Stats That difference between first and second place is insane, even if you combined the subscriptions of second and third place that still wouldn't add up to yours π Nicely done, sir! Happy new year from England ππ
What countless people over the years have insisted AI will inevitably lead to: real life Skynet and subsequent death of the human race.
What AI has actually led to: kids being able to cheat on essay assignments and easy editing techniques to allow easy fake photos and videos.
Remember when closing credits on movies weren't 10 minutes long? I'm all for acknowledgement but find a quicker way if more and more of them are going to feature scenes during or after the credits too. #JustSaying
I've always hated usage of the phrase "real men/man". In an ideal world it could be used as a means of aspiration but in reality too many people just use it as a means of derision, to put down others while boosting themselves and probably attempting to compensate for something.
Sometimes when I find myself in social media arguments, people will try and make a jab using their uneducated belief that Ashley is only a girl's name. When exactly did we become a society where people are dumb enough to believe that showing off ignorance makes for a good roast?
I can admire people for doing what they believe is the right thing but if in doing a good thing you do bad things, especially if they weren't necessary to do said good thing, there are still consequences. Do-gooders aren't above the law.
That's how I see the Zoe Rosenberg story.
Ever since the announcement of many of the Harry Potter TV series actors, Facebook has been far from short of people making posts asking whether people prefer the movie or TV version of various characters. How about giving people a chance before competitively comparing?
@Morrisons I'd never tell someone elsewhere how to do their job but I would like to hope that this is addressed and something put in place to prevent this as best they can as I imagine this happens in a lot of stores and shop staff don't deserve that, they're people too. 2/2
@Morrisons I was in your Worthing store earlier & I was so disgusted by how close many shoppers was getting to shop staff doing the final reductions to get at the good stuff, no care for giving them personal space. I know such behaviour isn't new but this felt especially bad. 1/2
Is it just my imagination or is expressing virtually anything that makes you seem different from a typical man/woman deemed a sign of mental illness these days?
