27 years ago today 🇸🇪 Sweden won the 44th #Eurovision in Jerusalem with Charlotte Nilsson (Perrelli) and “Take Me To Your Heaven”. The orchestra was no more from 1999, replaced by backing tracks and countries were free to choose which language to sing in

📆 29th May 2010, 16 years ago 🇩🇪 Germany won the 55th #Eurovision with Lena and ‘Satellite’. Manga for 🇹🇷 Turkey were 2nd, Paula & Ovi for 🇷🇴 Romania 3rd. Lena returned with ‘Taken by a Stranger’ for Germany at home in Düsseldorf 2011, finishing 10th
