i will say that the transfem spiderman trend is incredibly nice in that its purely an event of trans joy which i feel hasnt happened on twitter in a hot minute, when everything on this site feels so confrontational to us its nice to have this as a purely love-filled trend
+ trans women and we always have it worse”. this is the screenshot of the LITERAL post. it wasn’t a trans woman opening up about her experience with rape, it was someone blatantly erasing the unique things trans men face, which is why i brought up something +
It gets to a point where I can't safely vent to other trans women about relationship problems because they'll just tell me to become a lesbian and that's their answer to everything
@UnkindledAsh_OW@wesakisses@Tricksbricks72 I just think it's dishonest to get into a friendship with someone only to leave when your unwanted attempts to "help" aren't working. i've been on the receiving end of that, it's cruel and fucks you up. you could have stayed friends without the goal of "helping"
@wesakisses@Tricksbricks72 kind of shitty to make someone think you were a friend and genuinely valued her company only to reveal that all you cared about was trying to "fix" her.
like to this kind of person, if they can't fix you (which is always something you never asked of them in the first place!!!) then you don't deserve their friendship at all.
never trust people with fixer complexes like this. no matter how complicated your problems are , once they realize that it's not so simple to fix you, they will turn against you and leave you more isolated than you were before they met you.
roughly over a year ago, i met this younger trans girl (pre-transition) who i attempted to befriend and uplift irl. she seemed sweet but very self-conscious, and i thought that as a fellow tfem who had been thru therapy, i could guide her to a better place.
+
they'll lovebomb you and make you feel like you finally have someone you can trust but once you let your guard down enough, once they feel you aren't fast enough for their liking in becoming "better", once they realize things are maybe deeper than they thought, they will hurt you
@evrenescent I don't understand the obsession with losing virginity, it's kind of evil tbh.
before i got SA'ed part of how i got myself into that situation was I kept telling myself stuff like "don't overthink, go along with it, do you want to be a virgin forever?"
mine changed very radically , I used to hate what I looked like without glasses. however when i started hrt i happened to be starving for over a year (not by choice) and lost a lot of weight including on my face. when the fat came back I looked completely different than before.
honestly not learning makeup has probably been a net positive for my self esteem because when i started to consistently pass i can't say it's just makeup, like it is just my natural face. though i probably would be quite powerful if i got around to doing makeup
@DesiresAreGrey I vividly remember "AFAB trans woman" being a TERF joke/psyop to mock trans women and this was known years ago and they openly talked about how they're mocking us, wtf is going on now.
@kalbarrikartel and i feel like maybe it's because trans people are so vulnerable, but who has the most access to trans people than another trans person, who will we implicitly trust a lot more than a сis person. who will we let our guard down because we think "she won't possibly hurt me"
@kalbarrikartel as a victim, i wish it wasn't the case but there is an issue of sexual abuse and boundaries consent being kind of assumed by some t4t people
