I actually need journalists and MPs to talk about the terrifying rise of “rent to rent” because people are renting properties privately from landlords and then subletting them to OUR COUNCILS as social housing and then pocketing profit
@thesuperjcast Undone by the North Americans. Had completely forgotten about last year's Dominion match (which I might rewatch because it was outstanding), then same two you seem to have.
@dward56@FootballCliches Left the telly on and didn’t hear the intro to this and thought motd was starting early, then thought I’d gone mad. Then they put this up about the conductor.
@FootballCliches I’ve seen a few adverts this week saying that Guinness is the official beer of the premier league. I just don’t think Guinness can be a sponsor of the premier league in 2024. What is the most 2024 premier league beer sponsor and why is it Madri?
"You'll never get a perfect party, it's like a bus, you just take the one that gets you closest to where you want to be 🥰"
Okay but this bus won't let my trans friends board, so why would I ever buy a ticket.
Tories decimated is great, but this Labour ain't the one either.
@FootballCliches After "Martin Dubravka's Slovakia" on the programme info, is it worse to lead with the names of the pundits? Is this just a convention that ITV always leads with programme hosts? It does imply that Mark Pougatch might be the reason you're tuning in..
@FootballCliches Should "roof of the net" only refer to hitting it from the outside, whereas scoring a goal which hits the top of the net be hitting the "ceiling of the net"?
@FootballCliches A mate had the Denmark Serbia game on his phone last night to keep us posted on developments in case they affected England's place in the group. At one point he said they'd "Hit the roof of the net", making me think there was a goal, but it hit the roof from the outside.
@FootballCliches Can we talk about the fact that Steve McClaren has made it so no one can ever go out in a major moment under an umbrella? No manager will do it on the touchline now, even the prime minister won’t risk the comparison.
@Ankaman616 Following in your footsteps by sealing promotion last night. See you in the top league, look forward to some increasingly toxic banter than ends up ruining a wonderful friendship.
@FootballCliches At the corner just before half time in the Man City game today I am certain the 5Live commentator said that Ederson "scrundled" the ball away - a lovely mix of scrambled and bundled which felt like it actually fit the urgency of the situation quite well
@FootballCliches Half hour into the England game, Stuart Pearce criticised a Chillwell shot "as a member of the left back's guild". Do guilds work differently to unions? Unions are there to defend together, but guilds are are meetings of artisans and expect high standards of them?
