@NFLonFOX@Chase_Senior Look, I'm a Cowboys fan, but saying something is automatic when only one team can do it consistently tells you it's not automatic, it's talent, hard work and good coaching.
If every team in the league can do it at will, then let's talk about changing the rules.
@LibertyLinePHL It's ticky tacky. It's uncommon for that to be called in postseason play, but not unheard of.
Technically, it's a push off.
Most often, refs are willing to call it hand fighting and let it slide.
@JJWatt I don't mind someone filling in, but I don't agree with equal credit on your resume.
Only those players named initially should qualify as Pro-Bowl players.
Fill-ins need to have a lesser recognition.
@ArmaniWatts23 Except the ball does move dramatically relative to his body.
You can't pin the ball between your hand and the ground and claim control
the ball was moving down and past Worthy's shoulder, without the ground it would have continued down and away from his hand.
@_STXMario Bottom 3 in FA spending every year? Lowest FA spending over the last 5 years? You don't need a hard look to know what you're doing ain't it.
@VoiceOfTheStar "I manage real well"
Well... Eagles have drastically overhauled their coaching and roster multiple times and gone back to the SB multiple times with teams that are nearly universally considered more talented. They've actually used FA.
So what is it JJ manages REAL well?
@ben_nick_syder @cjb080781 @AdamSchein Definitionally it is not control if you pin the ball to an opponent, therefore you either never had control, or you lost it at that point.
So your statement didn't make sense.
@BenjaminSolak My only issue with this is that the decision had to be made before Josh takes a step to his right.
That's also before Shakir turns up field.
Unless Josh had a pre-snap or at-snap read that told him Shakir would be open -- it's basically too late.
@ben_nick_syder @cjb080781 @AdamSchein No, because you can't claim control when someone else's body is required for you to hang onto it. That is not control. If either player being removed from the equation would result in the ball moving out of the remaining player's control, then they do not have control.
@CecilLammey Rigged just isn't a feasible thing.
Do I think the refs are incompetent? ✅
Do I think high profile QBs get deference? ✅
Do I think KC is coached well to influence the refs? ✅
Do I think there's a conspiracy to foist certain teams into the final? No. It's not a thing.
@MoveTheSticks Amari Cooper is/should be a #1 WR.
Unfortunately, he was not a factor today.
Big games need big players to make big plays. Mack Hollins was out there balling.
Needed Amari to step it up.
@cjb080781 @ben_nick_syder@AdamSchein Well apparently if you're KC, but no. Under normal circumstances, and by the rules, you don't.
If the defender traps the ball against your heel and you step on it, it is not a catch.
@geoffschwartz Turning your body to throw behind your back and drop it to a guy running away from you is not as easy as this might seem. First look, pressure up the middle, he moves right -- almost impossible to make that throw left after that step.
Unless he was looking for that, doesn't work
@MitchSchwartz71 Potato tomato.
They lost as a team.
Is it brutal to make that kind of throw on a 4th down, to somehow put it in your guy's hands and have him drop it? Yes. Unequivocally.
Did Josh Allen contribute to this loss every bit as much as Kincaid? Yes.
@ben_nick_syder @cjb080781 @AdamSchein Ball can touch the ground, but the player needs to have definitive control prior to it touching and to reasonably prove that the ground didn't aid in retaining control.
Neither is true.
