@bbc5live Impossible. What’s about accidental littering eg wind blowing rubbish out of bins or bins blown/deliberately knocked over. What about when 4 people go through in same car and then get out of car and 1 litters. Who is fined? Who chases up the appeals?

@Mr_P_Hillips Absolutely. Everything is extrinsic to start with. Some children/adults will then become intrinsically motivated and most will stay extrinsic and both are ok. What we strive for is everyone to have the skill and thus the choice.

Reading this brought back the feelings of our own recent inspection. This is spot on. No external accountability. Ofsted are judge and jury and know this; they are untouchable-we submitted our own complaint and it just further evidenced this.

Ofsted changes … not even close.
- told the year a school may be inspected (we knew this)
- safeguarding judgment reviewed after 3 months (affects 12 schools)

How about we start with the real issues:
- Remove gradings.
- Be human
- Leave safeguarding to LA audits

School leaders have contacted me every week since the news about new about Ruth Perry’s death broke. Irrespective of their Ofsted grades they tell me that inspections are leaving their staff feeling traumatised, demotivated and worn down.
