JP Pegues looks to have an All-SEC caliber season for Auburn in 2024-25:

The 6’2 senior guard averaged 18.4PPG, 4.8APG, 4.3RPG & 1.2SPG for Furman last season. The modern day “Mr. Clutch” has a smooth shooters touch from the outside, can convert easy buckets in transition and is a skilled floor general to find his teammates open anywhere on the court.

The Nashville, Tennessee native has this Tigers team set to be one of the best teams not just in the SEC, but in the whole country.

2024-2025 Mid-Major Transfers:

JP Pegues - Furman. JP is my favorite guard in the portal right now for 3 reasons. He is a proven clutch shot maker, under control in the pick and roll, and an elite 3 point shooter with deep range. He is also extremely good at snaking ball screens and finishing at the rim. One of the best guards in the portal in terms of taking care of the rock as well. The main area of improvement I want to see in his game is in his mid-range. Many of you know him from the 3 he hit in the NCAAT to beat Virginia in the first round.

I like the fit for him at South Carolina with the departure of Meechie Johnson. I also like the possibility of Pegues at Villanova or Nebraska.
