My mind starting bouncing around after the tweet I just posted re: Florida v Ole Miss, and I discovered a chaos scenario. Now I don't predict this actually happening so don't yell at me...

But there are universes where Ole Miss is 1-3 heading into their bye week.

Open with Louisville in Nashville. LVille certainly isn't a BAD team, Brohm is a proven HC, and we've seen crazier things happen in week 1 before.

Then the two conference games against LSU and Florida after their bunny in week 2. Both the Tigers and the Gators have the firepower to win those games respectively.

So what is the discourse like if things bottom out like that through the first 28 days? Does Pete Golding get turned on? Is the offense really that much worse without Lane and Weis?

Once again, I have OM being 3-1 through 4 games as my official prediction. But the possibilities are endless...

Starting to see the Florida > Ole Miss upset pick catch on a bit.

That was one of the easiest spot picks I’ve ever seen. Gators first home SEC game, Rebels on the road after an EMOTIONAL game vs LSU no matter which way it goes.

Hasn’t happened yet, obviously, but one to watch

I do think there’s a decent shot that DJ Lagway looks like a totally different QB this year.

I’m not saying earth shattering stuff, but moving to a conference with much easier defenses, no longer coached by Billy Napier…

Predicting the defensive MVP for the Alabama Crimson Tide: Yhonzae Pierre

Pierre is entering his redshirt junior season ready to be a menace off the edge for the Tide. Last season he racked up 14.5 TFLs, 8 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

Looking ahead to this season, Bama's pass rush will be in a very advantageous spot. The Tide's secondary is elite, so it will be hard for opposing QBs to get rid of the ball quickly.

With an extra beat to get home, Pierre could push double digit sacks this season, and set the tone for Bama's defense.
