I'm a writer and I work in theatre and I am in a constant state of trying to pursue those things full time. I'm not there yet. I know it is hard to make a living from your passions (or to support your basic human needs on your passions). I will Always support paying creatives.

I agree 100%, and as a fellow creative, to me, a cameo is like a commission, just in video format instead of receiving art or a fic etc

You wouldn't ask an artist to lower their prices, I don't see the difference here
