Written primarily for Treasury, this report sets out a new tool framework for evaluating spend decisions in the face of transformative change.
British married couples would get priority for social housing, says Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice, but he was unclear where same-sex married couples would be on that list.
"As long as we're building plenty of homes, then there will be sufficient room for them."

Parody of a railway line. Removing delay repay liability by changing the timetable without actually finding a sustainable solution to the overcrowding. Cannot wait to have this back in public ownership and even just a little bit less run into the ground
EMR has announced a temporary reduced Intercity timetable from Monday, July 20. The decision follows service reliability issues with Hitachi Rail’s new Class 810 fleet and their maintenance of EMR’s existing Class 222 fleet. Read more 👇

In August 2024 Rodri and Álvaro Morata were rightly banned for one match for singing “Gibraltar is Spain”.
Now the Argentine players who celebrated with the “Falklands are Argentine” banner must be barred from the final.
The crisis on the Midland Mainline rolls on. Last night, a huge dangerous scrum at St Pancra & loads of trains cancelled. The new trains are having loads of problems. People are making makeshift umbrellas because the aircon is pouring water. DFT saying nothing. Disgrace.
@chilternbear11@stellacreasy@rosie_wrighting@labour4europe The ratio you propose is completely off- historically it has been about 1:1.7, and work should be done to improve this. Turing reached far fewer young people. Erasmus provides a much better framework for matching and developing projects. Also includes more life long learning

The double standards on show in this case are staggering.
If a British citizen is accused of an offence affecting America, the US demands immediate extradition - regardless of whether that offence took place on US soil.
Yet when a US pilot commits a violent crime in the UK, we meekly cede jurisdiction to a foreign military court.
Our legal relationship with America remains hopelessly lopsided.

@salingergregor Only really viable if they reopen the old tube station entrance and redesign the underground parts of the station though which seems near impossible
Concerning reports that Vučić’s supporters flew to Tivat in an attempt to destabilise the EU–Western Balkans Summit.
It seems that Montenegro’s success on the road to the EU is making President Vučić very nervous.
Instead of trying to disrupt the Summit, Vučić should follow the example of Serbia’s neighbour and pursue a democratic path.

Ok, good, so @itamarbengvir won't be visiting Rome, Paris or Dublin on his holidays this year.
But @Antonio_Tajani, the real issue is EU trade with #Israel.
Will #Italy stop blocking EU sanctions?
The actions of the Israeli government towards illegally detained members of the Sumud Flotilla, including Irish and EU citizens is despicable and cannot be consequence free.
This is a further clear breach of international law.
