@NWischoff 1000% amazing experience for my daughters, significantly cheaper than US nanny, and more flexible hours than a typical 8-5 nanny. Incredible opportunity for an abroad person to experience US culture thru the program. It’s a win for everyone if patient and find right person
@Mr_Neutral_Man@_justinfishman@jasonmiller15 Market was developed 25 years ago, was dominant corridor then west loop developed last 15 years and took Roosevelt corridors most affluent corridor. Market turning a corner with new life with soccer and baseball stadium being built. Funky floor plates, PSF play not a cap play
@LindyTasteful Having an au pairs works for several reasons. Au pair is ~40% the cost of local nanny but you have to provide basic needs; housing and food. Local nanny is more traditional hours 8-5, au pair very flexible in how you schedule hours throughout the week.
Eileen O'Neill Burke today after a Chicago cop was killed by a man on EM with four pending violent felonies:
"Electronic Monitoring system is broken. It does not work. It does not keep people safe."
SA O'Neill Burke gets it. This is why crime has dropped 22 percent in Chicago. Until the EM program is dismantled and progressives are removed from the bench, residents of Chicago will continue to be at the mercy of violent criminals.
@toglesby27@JonahLupton Meh… I am long term here… net cash position, positive comps, new stores, refresh existing fleet, return capital to shareholders
Lack of a move in short term gives you opportunity if you have conviction
@kylematthewsceo@CBRE Taking a shot at a competitor on their institutional sales business while suggesting Matthews bread and butter private capital space is insulated feels a bit biased as the owner of said company. 75 bps is not market for a $200m deal across most product types either.
@Stealx Live 2 blocks from here and do multi-tenant retail sales in Chicago/Broader Midwest.... the Southport portfolio just sold south of Addison, great comp for you. Great buy.
The people blindly defending ICE, even in the most indefensible situations, all seem to think the pay off is much bigger than it is in reality.
I see all this rhetoric about “saving America” as if they believe this is going to restore the demographics of 1987.
In reality, we are getting a big show of performative violence, people are dying and the worst elements of the left are being activated, all for slightly higher deportation number than Biden’s last year.
This is not going to “save America” but it just might give us President AOC.
