My iPhone’s battery health dropped from 95% to 91% over the past couple of months… 🪫

I didn’t do anything different. But what is the #1 enemy of lithium ion batteries?

HEAT! 🥵

So with the unprecedented heat this year, keep these tips in mind:

- Apple says 62°-72° is the ideal comfort zone, with 95° being too hot & capable of permanently damaging your battery capacity

- Your battery will drain in hot temps, even if idle. So try to avoid using apps that use location, camera, etc until in a cooler environment

- If you’re in a car, put your phone in front of the AC on full blast. It actually helps cool it down

- Don’t charge your phone in a hot environment

- If on a beach or outside, keep your phone in a bag or covered. Avoid direct sun exposure for a prolonged period

The heat index here in FL is 115° today, so these tips will help, but honestly there’s not much you can do if outside in these extreme temperatures. Your battery will hate it.

Stay hydrated and keep those iPhone batteries healthy!
