Today is an exciting day for me as a small investor and a believer in innovation. I am proud to say that I have secured an allocation in SPCX, the company behind what I believe is the most revolutionary space enterprise on the face of the Earth.

From reusable rockets to satellite communications, from lunar missions to the dream of making humanity a multi-planetary species, this company has redefined what is possible in our lifetime. Becoming a shareholder, no matter how small my position may be, feels like owning a tiny piece of the future.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Robinhood for giving retail investors like me the opportunity to place our orders early and participate in this historic IPO. For decades, opportunities like these were often reserved for large institutions and wealthy investors. Today, ordinary people have a seat at the table.

Now, like every investor, I hope the stock performs well and rewards those who believe in the company's long-term vision. Investing always carries risk, but I am excited to be part of this journey.

I am also hoping that SoFi and Charles Schwab come through with my additional orders as well. If they do, I will proudly add even more shares to my portfolio.

Congratulations to everyone who received an allocation. The countdown to launch has officially begun!

Aujourd'hui est une journée particulièrement excitante pour moi en tant que petit investisseur et passionné d'innovation. Je suis fier d'annoncer que j'ai obtenu une allocation d'actions de SPCX, l'entreprise qui, selon moi, représente la plus grande aventure technologique et spatiale de notre époque.

Des fusées réutilisables aux communications par satellite, des missions lunaires au rêve de faire de l'humanité une espèce multiplanétaire, cette entreprise a repoussé les limites du possible et transformé notre vision de l'avenir. Devenir actionnaire, même modestement, me donne l'impression de posséder une petite partie du futur.

Je tiens à remercier chaleureusement Robinhood d'avoir permis aux petits investisseurs comme moi de participer très tôt à cette introduction en bourse historique. Pendant des décennies, ce genre d'opportunité était principalement réservé aux grandes institutions financières et aux investisseurs fortunés. Aujourd'hui, les investisseurs ordinaires ont enfin leur place à la table.

Comme tout investisseur, j'espère maintenant que l'action connaîtra une belle progression et récompensera ceux qui croient à la vision à long terme de l'entreprise. Investir comporte toujours des risques, mais je suis heureux de faire partie de cette aventure.

J'espère également que SoFi et Charles Schwab confirmeront mes autres ordres d'achat afin que je puisse renforcer davantage ma position dans cette entreprise exceptionnelle.

Why do many government ethics experts believe it is inappropriate for an American president to accept a luxury aircraft from a foreign government?

The issue is not simply the value of the gift. It goes to the heart of one of the fundamental principles of American democracy: the independence of elected officials from foreign influence.

The Founding Fathers feared that foreign governments might attempt to influence American leaders through gifts, favors, titles, or financial benefits. To guard against that possibility, they included in the U.S. Constitution what is commonly known as the Foreign Emoluments Clause.

This provision states that no person holding an office of trust under the United States may accept any present, emolument, office, or title from a foreign state without the consent of Congress.

While legal scholars may debate the application of this clause to specific situations, the larger issue is one of ethics and public trust.

The President of the United States represents more than 340 million Americans. He commands the world's most powerful military, negotiates treaties, approves arms sales, and makes decisions that affect nations across the globe.

When a president accepts a gift worth hundreds of millions of dollars from a foreign government, several legitimate questions arise:

• Is the gift truly without expectations?
• Does the donor hope to gain influence or favorable treatment in the future?
• Can the public remain confident that presidential decisions are being made solely in the interests of the United States?
In public service, appearances matter. Even when no wrongdoing can be proven, the appearance of a conflict of interest can undermine public confidence in government.
The standard expected of an American president has traditionally been higher than simply avoiding criminal conduct. Presidents are expected to avoid situations that could raise doubts about their independence, impartiality, or loyalty to the national interest.

For that reason, many ethics experts argue that accepting an extraordinarily valuable gift from a foreign government would be inconsistent with the spirit of the Constitution and with the ethical standards expected of the highest office in the United States.

The question is not only whether such a gift is legal.

The question is whether it is appropriate.

Today, I want to congratulate Elon Musk for his extraordinary achievements, his relentless pursuit of innovation, and the discipline to transform bold dreams into reality.

Few individuals in modern history have reshaped entire industries the way Elon Musk has. From electric vehicles to reusable rockets, from satellite communications to artificial intelligence, he has repeatedly challenged what the world believed was possible and then proven the skeptics wrong.

As an immigrant who arrived in the United States in 1992 at the age of 21, I find his story particularly inspiring. Today, he is on a path that could make him America's first trillionaire. Whether that happens or not, his journey says something remarkable about immigrants and about the United States of America—the greatest land of opportunity ever created. In what other country could a young immigrant arrive with ambition and determination and go on to influence the future of humanity itself?

That is why I was deeply disappointed when Elon Musk aligned himself with Donald J. Trump and MAGA political movements and rhetoric that many perceived as hostile to immigrants. As an immigrant himself, I found that position difficult to understand. I was also troubled by some of his public gestures and statements, such as the Hitler salute which generated controversy and division. In my view, that was a lapse in judgment.

But genius is not perfection.

Elon Musk is undoubtedly a genius in technology, engineering, manufacturing, and innovation. However, like all human beings, he has strengths and weaknesses. Excelling in science and technology does not automatically make someone an expert in sociology, politics, or human relations.

The mark of intellectual honesty is the ability to separate a person's accomplishments from their mistakes. I can admire Elon Musk's extraordinary contributions to technology and human progress while still disagreeing with some of his political positions and public actions.

History will likely remember him as one of the most influential innovators of the 21st century.

I wish him success in all his future endeavors, and I will continue to follow and invest in the companies and technologies that are helping shape the future. Regardless of one's political views, it is impossible to deny that Elon Musk has changed the world.

Peu d'individus dans l'histoire moderne ont réussi à transformer des industries entières comme Elon Musk l'a fait. Des véhicules électriques aux fusées réutilisables, des communications par satellite à l'intelligence artificielle, il a constamment défié ce que le monde croyait possible et a ensuite démontré que les sceptiques avaient tort.

En tant qu'immigrant arrivé aux États-Unis en 1992 à l'âge de 21 ans, je trouve son parcours particulièrement inspirant. Aujourd'hui, il est sur une trajectoire qui pourrait faire de lui le premier trillionnaire de l'histoire américaine. Que cela se réalise ou non, son parcours témoigne de quelque chose d'exceptionnel à propos des immigrants et des États-Unis d'Amérique : la plus grande terre d'opportunités jamais créée. Dans quel autre pays un jeune immigrant pourrait-il arriver avec de l'ambition et de la détermination, puis contribuer à façonner l'avenir même de l'humanité ?

C'est pourquoi j'ai été profondément déçu lorsqu'Elon Musk s'est associé à Donald J. Mais le génie n'est pas la perfection.

Elon Musk est sans aucun doute un génie de la technologie, de l'ingénierie, de la fabrication industrielle et de l'innovation. Cependant, comme tout être humain, il possède des forces et des faiblesses. Exceller dans les sciences et la technologie ne fait pas automatiquement de quelqu'un un expert en sociologie, en politique ou en relations humaines.

La véritable honnêteté intellectuelle consiste à savoir distinguer les accomplissements d'une personne de ses erreurs. Je peux admirer les contributions extraordinaires d'Elon Musk au progrès technologique et à l'avancement de l'humanité tout en étant en désaccord avec certaines de ses positions politiques et de ses actions publiques.

L'histoire retiendra probablement Elon Musk comme l'un des innovateurs les plus influents du XXIe siècle.

Je lui souhaite beaucoup de succès dans tous ses projets futurs et je continuerai à suivre et à investir dans les entreprises et les technologies qui contribuent à façonner l'avenir. Quelles que soient les opinions politiques de chacun, il est impossible de nier qu'Elon Musk a changé le monde.
