It was super cool having Sacramento @kfbk sports guy @markdemsky share his expertise with my sports magazine students today; Mark was the reporter who first interviewed Scott Boras about his Sacramento A’s concerns last month. Good stuff from a true pro!

So anyway, the fact that @Amtrak doesn’t seem to care if people who book their service actually get to their destination makes it unlikely we’ll book again. And now I know I can make it from the peninsula to Arcata in five hours. And we got extra time in the car with the kid!

John Fisher’s A’s lost 112 games last season and look like they might be worse in 2024. Payroll is $48 mil, which is not remotely close to the 29th worst payroll. They may move to a minor league ballpark next year. How is MLB ok with this? How can you let this fool own a team?

Looks like the ‘Reverse Boycott’ pack-the-coliseum event is a go! It’s June 13, 6:40 game against the Rays. This is a chance to show the idiot ownership how much the fans in Oakland really WOULD support a product that wasn’t being intentionally sabotaged. Hope to see you there!!

Didn’t get to see the A’s lose again (but did catch the end of the Warriors win!) because we were having a ton of fun playing a packed-house show at Freewheel Brewery; my son joined us to rock out on a couple songs too. It was an amazing night for the Vida Blues Band!

Fairfield Properties Ballpark, formerly Bethpage, home of the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League. Opened in 2000, seats 6000, managed by Wally Backman. Good place to grab a foul ball; my nephew left with three of them on the day we went!
