@RookieIrish76@mrmikeMTL 80 when I'm not home.
77 when I'm home and have no visitors.
75 at night.
I'd love to leave it lower, but when temps are around 100+ for weeks on end your system will literally never shut off. I don't care how well insulated your home is.
@ChiefEngineerCE Honestly though, I live in an area where most Boomers and GenXers are struggling just as bad as everyone else. Some of that was caused by property taxes tripling and even quadrupling in a short time.
@Kristinartz What I miss the most about the 70s is how connected our huge family was. Weekends felt free and blissful because of how much time we all spent together, and there was a general feeling of family love. It was a simple and perfect time.
@edgaralandough I just went through my bookmarks 2 nights ago and deleted about 80% of them. I felt like I was going to miss out on something, but I knew I'd never get around to a fraction of what was in there.
@ashleyschendel My big old truck doesn't have a backup camera (and it's so tall that mirrors do you no good) so I just park further out in the parking lot... where I feel like everyone should park their oversized pickups.
@gusholderhaber I read through a ton of the replies and I've never experienced anything like that. About the only thing I can think of is when I would run a fever my dreams would consist of doing a mundane task over and over again. The dream usually took place at school.
@BellaBaddie__ In most cases I agree. But, being able to drive well over the speed limit saved me from the path of an F4 tornado. I was at the end of a long road with a cul-de-sac and only one exit.
@ZackAttackP1 I don't think it's 100% because of nostalgia. I'm around music and people every day and these younger kids are listening to a lot of classic rock and country. When I ask them why they say "because new music sucks." 16 year olds aren't driven by nostalgia.
@i_danieall Years ago I had Noiseless pickups installed in my '67 Telecaster. They were absolutely devoid of life or character. They made my Deluxe Reverb sound like I was plugged directly into a mixing board. I absolutely couldn't get a tone I could live with. Old pups went back in.
@baaslaunch@kushika_twt I'm confused about the numbers. There is a hyperscale data center going up 20 miles from me and the projected yearly water usage is 1.1 billion gallons per year. So, I looked up the yearly usage of the average restaurant and the usage isn't even close. Am I missing something?
If you ever wanted a lesson on how to fundamentally destroy a classic song, this is it. I love B&D, and Kacey Musgraves is a talented singer, but this remake is like a long ride on a boring road, in the summer with no AC, with a hangover.
@9mmsmg I think adults should only be exposed to certain things when it benefits understanding the gravity of a situation. For instance, it's impossible to grasp the horrors of the Holocaust without seeing some of the imagery. But I certainly don't get enjoyment from seeing it...
@JBONAMASSA I've never understood the mindset of trying to shame skilled players. In turn, I don't believe in shaming under skilled players. William Reid should stop projecting his insecurities on someone who was clearly an incredible and influential guitarist.
@1GamewithDave1 I'm sitting on a collection of PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Nintendo, SNES, and N64 titles that literally cannot be finished before I die. I'll be lucky to live another 20 years then I'll pass the burden of my consoles and game collection to my grandkids.
