It's time to update your protest signs.
We know change isn't easy, but we're going to explain a few key messages that will make your signs more effective and inclusive for your next protest! 🧵
In 1943–just 20yrs before Annie Ernaux had her illegal abortion–France executed abortionist Marie-Louise Giraud by guillotine. She was the last person executed for abortion in France. Ernaux’s autobiographical novel about her abortion is now a film https://t.co/fDLQxVvFyI
@GongDonkey So, as a Millennial, I’d just say “guess I’ll just not use gas anymore” which is also why I’ll never really know if I have a new shellfish allergy after a horrible reaction to shrimp at a conference-“$900 for an allergy test? Guess I’ll die.”
another day, another tweet begging you guys to find another woke CEO to retweet whose ex-wife did not credibly accuse him of years of abuse including literally waterboarding her https://t.co/sObu6pPVfA
@ZMoeg Glad I’m not alone—last quarter I had two new preps, this quarter I have three, next quarter one. And still applying for jobs. What is a weekend?
@GongDonkey Santa Clara is for students who live in the dorms (most students) and encouraging it for off-campus students. All students had to have 2 tests when they arrived back to campus. We still have a 10% + rate (with an online start) and they’ve run out of places to isolate students.
@Mqtjuiced @_JessiePadilla @AcademicChatter Depends on your chair….mine gave me a lot of freedom, but it was a little anxiety-inducing . Fyi @_JessiePadilla have you checked out the former exam lists the dept has? Used to be on BB, maybe on Canvas now?
@JortsTheCat My cat Yogi wearing a baby shirt (it had Oscar the Grouch on it) after losing her front leg in an accident. 11 years later she is still going strong, but I’m sure she’d kill me if I tried to put her in a baby shirt again.
@pen_and_think @LacyHope2020 Thanks. Not that there is ever good timing for such things, it broke down (and is a total loss) at a particularly bad time. C’est la vie.
