And of course a massive thank you to the boys themselves. They have been a delight to look after this week, have been really good sports, and took the journey in their stride. Enjoy your summer, guys, and the staff look forward to welcoming you back in September #watersports2018
We're back! So concludes #watersports2018 A huge thanks to Dr Whiting for all of her hard work in organising the trip and making sure the boys were all enjoying themselves. Thanks also to our wonderful coach drivers on the trip
@WilsonsCoCurric and we're back in England! Just off the ferry and on the road. Still looks like 1030 at Wilson's is the best ETA, subject to traffic... See you in a bit!
@WilsonsCoCurric Please can we ask all parents/carers to avoid parking in the layby at the front of the school, and indeed keep the school gates clear. The car park should be open, and it would be great if you could go down into the big car park
@WilsonsCoCurric Our ferry is scheduled to depart at 0740 french time. We should hopefully land in Dover at 0815 UK time, and get back to Wilson's around 1030. A more accurate ETA to follow when we are on the road at Dover
@WilsonsCoCurric morning all. Just arrived at Calais. We have to get through Customs before we know what ferry we will be on. I'll update as further information is available
@WilsonsCoCurric We don't expect to be at Wilson's before 0930 UK time, but we will tweet an update when we know what ferry we are catching at Calais, and again when we are on the move from Dover.
@WilsonsCoCurric we have been really impressed at how well the boys have handled this set back, they have been fantastic! All is well with us; we are all fed and watered, and are in very good spirits. Updates to follow when we arrive at Calais
@WilsonsCoCurric Hi all, an update. Unfortunately we were delayed in France due to a technical fault with the coach that has now been resolved. We are now on the move and are trying to catch up time. We anticipate arriving at Calais around 0530 UK time.
And that's a wrap! It is adiós to Canyelles, the gorgeous beach and the glorious sunshine. We will post updates about our journey and when we reach Dover will post an ETA at Wilson's @WilsonsCoCurric#watersports2018
@Niksy80@WilsonsCoCurric I haven't been taking many on my phone, but between my SLR and Dr Whiting's waterproof camera we have taken lots of snaps. We will put these onto the school's shared drive, and send out a link in the Autumn term
@WilsonsCoCurric final full day of activities today, including beach games! Glorious sunshine, a perfect conclusion to the trip. There are rumours of a disco tonight... Watch this space! #watersports2018
Now we are off for an evening visit to the costal resort of Tossa de Mar! Lots of lovely ice cream shops, places to buy souvenirs, a gorgeous castle and very medieval feeling streets. #watersports2018
Awesome day at the water park. Seems like Speed Furious was the most popular slide; it has a near vertical drop at the start so super speedy! I estimate the slide to be at 20° to the vertical, giving an initial acceleration of 9.2 m/s^2.
@WilsonsCoCurric another fun day on #watersports2018 though the rain put a bit of a dampener on the day! Still, the boys have kept themselves occupied since coming back from the beach with lots of the sport on offer at the resort, including football, basketball and table tennis
@WilsonsCoCurric today the boys got to try kayaking, paddle board surfing, water skiing, and a trip on the speedboat along the coast. As with yesterday the activities are on a rotation so they'll have tried everything by the end of the week #watersports2018
