Back in Lisbon at our favourite Hotel Britania ! Due to tram roadworks walk upto Castle San George for the stunning views and Peacock calls ! Avendia afternoon beer and light hotel refreshments from 5PM. R&R before delicious Dourada fish dinner at nearby Forno Velho restaurant !
Cork train up for day out in Dublin complete with Connolly railway line running right past our hotel window as two seagulls look on ! A very filling lunch of Brazilian food at Kalabasa Market ! Walk along the quayside to 3Arena for a fantastic James Blunt Back to Bedlam concert !
Breakfast Bristol fashion then cross heavily scaffolded bridge on way to Wales via M49/M4. We wait in-line to board delayed James Joyce on its penultimate 14:45 Pembroke to Rosslare crossing. The pollution hangs heavy as sun sets over The Haven after 4 hours we await chocks away
Back to Bellinger for an Ampera small service. Walk back to Aunt’s flat then back to garage for 2PM car pick up. We’re parked up overlooking Avon Gorge by 4PM. Free glass of champagne in the bar with that Clifton Suspension bridge view. Stu ‘wine glass breaker’ at Giggling Squid!
School friends meet for a Cafe No 3a breakfast catching up on old times! Joint drive by of Bromsgrove station and Finstall Road. Eyston Arms Sunday lunch with Cousins and Aunt then stroll around East Hendred. Back to Wantage for Herd Mentality laughs over some pizza, beer & wine!
Sunny Tram into Manchester for super filling Wrestler naan breakfast roll ! New Northern electric train to Stockport for our first ever visit to Nephew’s Greenhouse BOOKShop. Drive down to Bromsgrove for pre dinner Doom Bar and walk to Casa Med for some fine Mediterranean Tapas !
Sunny crisp snowy frozen midday walk into Didsbury for Art of Tea brunch and Village bookshop perusal ! Managed to capture a tram in the snow on the way back. My brother’s fantastic fish pastry pie for dinner followed by cheese board. Weather Quiz to end the night with hilarity !
Sunny stroll around Wokingham before long drive upto a very cold and snowy Manchester complete with unexpected freezing fog ! West Didsbury night out with the Wilson family visiting The Metropolitan and The Railway pubs either side of an excellent Namaste Nepal Balti+Kingfisher !

Rosslare sun rise from James Joyce Club Class style for cold calm crossing to Pembroke Dock via Milford Haven. Long drive via old Severn Bridge to Wokingham Premier Inn. Superb Sanpa for our favourite tapas and then Everyman Throwback of weird and wonderful The Big Lebowski !
We’re celebrating one year of Glenawilling ownership today ! First Irish Christmas tree is up and the weather is as gorgeous as it was on the first day we saw the house eighteen months ago ! Great Clancy’s seafood dishes & a Murphys Irish Red pint is a perfect way to end the day!
Electric Cycle ride on the road to Killeagh then onto the old railway route to Mogeely on the sunny opening day of the new section of the Midleton to Youghal Greenway, nice and flat and very smart indeed with quite a few people (and dogs) out walking and cycling !
