@VPhillipMunoz Your plan seems inferior to "eigengrades" (https://t.co/j8EG31z8Gc) since your plan fails to correct for the perverse incentive to take classes where the other students aren't very good.
I made a super simple website where you can see everywhere you can get to in under an hour on the NYC subway.
The generated map is both a heat-map (changes color) and a cartogram (warps space).

the 9-Euro Ticket increased train trips by about 35%, but reduced car traffic by only 1–5%, implying limited car-to-rail substitution. The additional train demand worsened rail service quality: the share of delayed trains rose by 30%, with spillovers to long-distance trains.
@jmkettle At least they show you how many reviews an establishment wanted to have removed. Which says more about the establishment than the reviews in many cases.
holy fuck, a hair dryer at a Paris airport broke Polymarket weather markets & made someone $34,000 richer
- polymarket was settling Paris temperature bets on a single Météo France sensor sitting near the Charles de Gaulle runway perimeter - basically unguarded
- the guy bought the long-shot outcome (like "22°C" when everyone expected 18°C) for pennies, since nobody thought it'd hit
- then he walked up to the probe and briefly heated the air around it with a portable heat source, spiking the reading just long enough to register as the daily max
- temperature snapped back to normal in minutes, the market resolved in his favor, and he cashed out - twice, on April 6 and April 15, before Météo France caught on and filed charges
hyperstitions.
Day 19 in hospital. You can order meal preferences on a touch screen. The kitchen used to get complaints about the food quality so they made the photos much much worse and the complaints went down. #ux
Police say a 28-year-old California man allegedly bought expensive LEGO sets, kept the pieces and returned the boxes filled with dry pasta. Authorities say the scheme was repeated about 70 times nationwide before he was caught.
As the great Warren Buffett once said:
“The best investment is not in yourself. It’s in a bankrupt shoe retailer that pivots to AI datacenter operations.”
Bij Tottenham Hotspur hebben ze dingen belangrijk gemaakt die je kan meten, in plaats van te meten wat belangrijk is. Mooi stuk over de mislukte transferstrategie
But can he pass?

The Kyoto Aquarium in Japan keeps a wall-sized flowchart tracking the romantic relationships, breakups, and drama between their penguins. They update it every year.
Red hearts mean couples. Blue broken hearts mean it’s over. Purple lines with question marks mean it’s complicated. Yellow means friendship. Green means enemies.
One female penguin reportedly ended six relationships in a single year. The comment under her photo, translated from Japanese, described her as “basically demonic.” Another penguin was caught dating someone 17 years older who also turned out to be their great aunt. And penguins who get broken up with sometimes refuse to eat.
Apparently the staff say wing-flapping means flirting, grooming each other means it’s official, and if a penguin steals another penguin’s egg… well, it’s exactly what it looks like.
