DPR for pink line was prepared in 2011 with the names. After station name boards are prepared and names used in ticketing software, letter is written to rename.

Not defending current names, this could have been initiated 1-2 years before at least

Karnataka Forest Minister & BTM Layout MLA @RLR_BTM has written to @OfficialBMRCL seeking changes to 3 Metro station names, citing local familiarity, historical/geographical significance and public opinion.

Proposed changes:
• JP Nagar 4th Phase → NS Palya
• Tavarekere → SG Palya
• Dairy Circle → Lakkasandra

He urged BMRCL to consult residents, the public & local leaders before renaming stations.

Did not see properly, could not see property cordoned on other side of SWD for proper entry structure.

During new year night every year, MG Road metro station is closed as crowd is huge. After Pink line opens, MG Road station will be interchange. Closing it then will cause inconvenience. Interesting to see how the situation will be handled in coming years

Bengaluru Metro will extend services on Purple, Green, and Yellow Lines on New Year’s Eve. Last trains: Purple Line – Whitefield 1:45am/Challaghatta 2am, Green Line – Madavara/Silk Institute 2am, Yellow Line – RV Road 3:10am/Bommasandra 1:30am. Trains run every 8 mins (Purple/Green) and 15 mins (Yellow) from 11:30pm. MG Road Station closed from 10pm; passengers advised to use Trinity/Cubbon Park & QR tickets or smart cards. BMTC buses operate 11–2am on major routes @OfficialBMRCL @BMTC_BENGALURU

Today, had 2 experiences for the first time.
Yellow line metro and electric ac BMTC bus.

In 2019, travelling in bus from Jayadeva to Silk Board used to take 30-45 minutes. Taking bike was faster but stressful. Seeing in progress pillars used to wonder when this day would come.

@lkatheeq Phase 1 stations such as Lalbagh are simpler. Phase 2 stations are bulkier. BMRCL has to check Phase 1 for inspiration
