i’ll always have a special soft spot in my heart for the turnips confession scene because it’s one of the most drawn-out Discussions of where the characters stand with each other in my whole body of work and it was so harrowing for everyone involved, including me

i love clever cutaways and slantwise approaches for confession scenes and scenes of Big Emotion in general but it felt very important for these particular characters at this particular point in this particular story not to go that way, so i didn’t go that way :’)
