Phil Simmons amazing figures of 10-8-3-4 #ONTHISDAY 17-12-1992 against Pakistan in a World Series match in Sydney, still the most economical for a completed ten-over spell in ODIs. @Coachsim13 took wickets of Sohail, Mujtaba, Malik and Miandad.
Another huge game for the boys today. With City dropping points, Arsenal & Liverpool playing today, the boys need a result to keep up our Top 4 ambitions and put pressure on the others. Villans if you're attending today let’s roar them to victory this afternoon #UTV#VTID#AVFC
Inspired by @Athersmike piece on West Indies cricket yesterday we have been looking at our archive this wonderful set shows the #WestIndies team buying records in London on their 1963 tour, no names captioned at all can anyone help identify the players? or even the record shop?
With thanks to bro for getting this historical photo signed by late Joe Solomon when he came as manager of 1978-79 WI team. Calcutta Cricket & Football Club, 31 Dec 1978

Your Guys took one hell of a series beating #WIvENG
I'm really interested to see the crowd dynamic for the T20s in Trinidad.
It shouldnt be dominated by England fans as Trinidad isnt perceived as a tourist venue to sing Sweet Caroline and do up drunk and boasy.
Trini fans love a T20 so it should feel like a WI fete home game
RIP Joe Solomon who passed away aged 93 today
A stalwart of West Indies during Frank Worrell's captaincy, and fondly remembered for *that* throw in the tied Test vs Australia
More sad news.
Joe Solomon, the former Guyana and West Indies batsman passed away today.
He was famous for the run out which led to the famous tied Test in 1960 at the Gabba.
We extend sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. May he Rest in Peace.
Condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Clyde Butts, former Guyana captain, West Indies off-spinner, and West Indies Chairman of Selectors; and Joe Solomon, former Guyana and West Indies batsman.
May they Rest in Peace.
