Started a Window Cleaning Business November ‘21. 🪟🧽

Figured I’d tweet my goals to help hold myself accountable throughout the year.

Below are some key points I’d like to accomplish this year.

Already doubled Goal #2 for the first two months. 💪

@dylthorn 70 houses so far on 4 pair. Only had one pocket rip out. Extremely comfy and flexible for crawling on roofs. I wear these year around. Cheap as well in case they do tear but haven’t had any holes yet. Hold stiff on shingles as well. I love these pants.

@AlexLathery I think this is my problem as well… except my computer is only 10months old. I only run Chrome with maybe 8 tabs open at once but all my websites/google sheets drain the memory. Need to update ASAP before my impatience gets the best of me.

Business has been way more successful in 10 months than I ever could’ve predicted.

I’m excited to fully commit to the path of entrepreneurship! Always been a passion of mine. Just never knew how or what to do.

Also pumped for the freedom this allows me, scheduling wise!

Well, it’s really happening…

I’m quitting the Fire Department to wipe dirt off windows, pickup dog shit, and install colorful lights on houses😯

Put in a 6 week notice last week. Final day is Nov 9th.

Now to fight the constant doubt in my mind and fear of going on my own🤘🏼

Leaving $10k annual on the table with likely growth to $30k, but just hasn’t been worth the hassle so far. I’ll stick with my hometown and perfect this instead, on top of all other ventures/responsibilities 🤘🏼

Welp, I decided to cancel my remote Poop Scoopin service adventure I tried.

Town was 50minutes away and not feasible for me to drive there weekly, so I hired an employee. Went well until she quit. Hired a backup and she just told me last night that she’s done as well…

So, even though I could probably apply more of @LiamKircher principles for remote cleaning, I don’t have the time, nor want to deal with the headache of hire, train, quit, and repeat at this time.

Worked a Xero Basic 30’ WFP FOR 3 hours on this bad boy.

My shoulder blades and lower traps are ACHING today for sure💪

Question:

Does anyone utilize a crypto wallet as a savings account by holding stable coins for their 7-10% APY?

It only makes sense to do this as savings accounts are garbage in terms of inflation hedging and it’s a guaranteed* return on your money.

@HammerTimeSales Recently discovered an old high school friend who started his own Window Cleaning business. We definitely talk a lot more now and that “irl” communication is way more refreshing.

@JacksonMowing @GetJobber I used square for payments prior, but since I added Jobber I’ve seen a HUGE uptick in tips. Square had a “tips” section too and saw minimal to none. Jobber must make it easier?

@AlexLathery Nebraska has rain and wind, but a comfortable 50-60°. Heading to Florida for some Buschies on the beach and relaxation. Hoping weather stays nice down there🤘🏼
