@churchofysl I think of AI the way I do Clippy. Annoying and frequently incorrect. But way more dangerous. I don't think people understand the danger.
I'll use it in an extremely limited fashion because my employer is in favor of it. I personally don't trust it.
I'd laugh, but it really isn't funny.
The team is starting to complain about ServiceNow's horrendous "workspace" UI.
Not one single person who works in IT wants this nonfunctioning UI.
ServiceNow has been infiltrated by people who think IT pros want a UI suitable for a toddler
@TheHost_ Snorts. NOTHING you do on a company owned device is "anonymous"
Employee survey w/individual links? Dead giveaway.
Last year, my employer demanded to know why people were giving 7-8 out of 10. Anything less than 9 was bad. They do not want any negative feedback.
@midwestern_ope Personally called out by this. Also, I wrote one out this morning after picking up water softener salt that I used my previous rebate for at checkout.
@VitalRenaiss Winter in the Midwest with horribly plowed roads. -30/-50F wind chills. Ice. Lack of sidewalks.
Summer: 95F with 100% humidity, wildfire smoke from Canada, mosquitoes and ticks (ticks are out of control).
Spring = flooding, wild ass weather swings.
Autumn = ok for a few weeks.
@it_unprofession Lol....high school GPA. That tells me they're looking for a recent grad they can pay subsistence wages. Not an experienced professional.
@AbakpaJob Quicksand and it's not even close. Hadn't thought about it in decades, but then late last year saw an article about some dude getting stuck in quicksand on the shore of Lake Michigan
@peachtard I'm in the middle of this project myself, although the reason is different.
No one wants their shit. I have a house with my own crap, I don't need theirs. Having helped when other relatives died and left houses full of crap, I'm not continuing the cycle.
Get rid of the crap.
@tomhfh Got one now. Doesn't matter. App says 1 minute, but we all know washing machines operate on a separate timeline.
It is useful for knowing when a cleaning cycle needs to be run. That's about it.
@collin_ruth89 I miss my gas stovetop burners. I love my induction cooktop. It is faster and way easier to keep clean.
But the oven sucks. It absolutely sucks.
@ThrillaRilla369 Fuckers need a pay reduction and a sharp increase in working hours. Whiny bastards make twice and work half. Let's flip that back. No more private insurance either.
@Mollyploofkins Chi-Chi's. They were the place to meet back in high school and college.
Boston Store - suitable business clothing and quality linens. I still have washcloths I bought more than 20 years ago.
Wish I had a time machine. I'd go buy sheets & towels.
@GalvyGal2023@hashjenni Once a week treat, and I cut the steaks in half now. Though that's partly age related. Can't/shouldn't eat that much anymore.
Cut out many "treats" and I love to bake. But not at the ingredient cost.
@NewsR87234@NoFilterSkin Only work because I WFH. So I should amend to "in office OR on camera" (rare).
I wait for a "sale" so it is marginally less expensive.
Eminence isn't cheap either, but the spa I like uses it. For me, not cheap is $85 for .01 oz eye cream tube.
