@SecVetAffairs @POTUS @VP @WhiteHouse @DeptVetAffairs @VAVetBenefits @PaulRLawrence I’ve spoken with the Chief of Audiology at the Martinsburg WV VAMC once again about my inability to hear at a workable level in the real world even with VA provided hearing aids. I’ve advised VA Audiology that this has been the case for many-many years now and has been so with every new replacement pair of VA provided hearing aids. I’ve been assured each and every time that my next pair of VA provided hearing aides will be better than the previous pair yet this has never been true and I’ve simply been let down. I’ve resigned from my federal job at NSA due to being unable to hear in the work environment and the blatant discrimination target this put on me inside NSA. I’ve been ruled out as a potential juror due to my inability to hear correctly in open spaces such as court rooms. I do my absolute best to avoid people simply because causal conversation requires that I continually have to ask others to repeat themselves again and again and again. This brings me to the present situation, I am once again being told by VA Audiology that my next pair of hearing aids will be better than the last pair which I’ve been told after receiving the past four or five pair over the past 15 or so years. I’ve spoke with outside of VA Audiologists and they tell me that with my diagnosis of Profound Bilateral Sensorineural Hearing Loss that any hearing aids will be of little to no help for me. I informed VA that rather than continue wasting money on hearings aids for me that money might be better spent on a Veteran who has the type of hearing loss hearings aids will work well for. I’m simply tired of living with a condition that our world does not accept well yet one that I cannot fix on my own. I’m hoping the right personnel inside VA is reading this tweet and may have knowledge of a solution that will work where hearing aids will not??🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

VA diagnosed me long ago with profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. Every four years or so I’m provided with new hearing aids that fail to allow me to hear well. Each time I’m given new hearing aids I’m assured that the new pair will be better than the previous pair yet they never are . I’m still left unable to process conversations and still trying to read television closed captions while also try to watch the tv program while reading them which is simply not possible. I either miss parts of the closed captioning or I miss part of the on-screen program. I eventually had no choice but to tender my resignation for my cleared position at the NSA as I could not hear in conference room meetings nor on my phones nor in most other areas at the Agency. I’ve been provided about 4 or 5 pair of VA hearings aids to date and none have allowed me to hear any better than the previous pair. I recently underwent my most recent hearing test at the MARTINSBURG WV VAMC and once again I was told that I’ll be given new hearing aids and that they’ll be better than my current pair, which I’ve been told many times in the last only to find it never to be true. During my most recent hearing exam the VA Audiologist stopped the background noise portion of the exam about a minute or two into it and advised me that it was of no use to continue the background noise test because he found me to be unable to hear anything once background noise was added to the test. If VA has nothing to improve my particular type of hearing loss I would rather forgo the wasting of VA funds on devices that simply don’t work for me, the funds would be better spent on Veterans whom the hearing aids actually do work for. I sincerely do appreciate all that VA does for me I truly do but the let downs that follow the promises of better hearing leads me into periods of increased depression and to be honest I would just rather accept that my hearing loss has no fix rather than count on assurances that are never true.🇺🇸

@potus @realDonaldTrump @WhiteHouse I have zero issues with President Trumps deal with Russia for the supply of diesel fuel to the US. Bottom line is we live in a time of Global Markets and global means global. Secondly, diesel fuel provided by Russia is diesel fuel that will serve the US Markets and Economy just as any others diesel fuel would. The deal will reduce the cost of fueling the trucks that deliver the goods to American Consumers and as such will not only reduce the cost of diesel but with that will also reduce consumers costs for many of the goods they purchase regularly. It’s not about who does or doesn’t like Putin, his diesel will serve our needs and that’s what matters.🇺🇸

Debatable as to whether this would be a good thing or not. At the present rising rates for electricity the kilowatt cost may at some point exceed the cost of fossil fuel. The latter coupled with the fact that many in the population cannot afford to purchase electric vehicles renders this goal questionable at best.

@JosABank I had one of the absolute best ever customer service experiences recently. I had never shopped a Jos A Bank store until just the other day and the entire experience was truly exceptional. The quality and selection of clothing onsite was exceptional. The customer service was truly phenomenal. Now that I know what I’ve been missing I will definitely be a Jos A Bank customer for life.
