When the world feels too dark, read a children's book.
When you need to feel hope, read a children's book.
When you need to believe in magic, read a children's book. Children's lit is a balm to those worn out & in need of wonder. Never dismiss these books as "just for children."
It was an honor to work with Carol Dashnau LeBarron on My Grandfather's Gift, an amazing journey of spiritual self-discovery. Congrats, Carol, on the release of this beautiful book!

@EliteEditing From one of my favorites ever, Hamlet's "What a piece of work is man" monologue: “And yet to me, what is this quintessence of dust?”
But sadly, not from this, @wrappedupinboox: https://t.co/qAgA6M2qTg
What's your favorite children's book of all time?
So many to love here (and also maybe some clunkers), but I'm partial to The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by @KateDiCamillo. And Anne of Green Gables, obvs.
The BBC recently compiled a list of the 100 greatest children's books of all time, with Maurice Sendak's "Where the Wild Things Are" topping the list. Which of these books have you read and enjoyed? Any titles you would add to or remove from the list?

This weekend, at a mutual friend’s gathering, a distant acquaintance came up to say hello.
“I wasn’t sure if I remembered your face,” she said, “but I recognized your light.”
I loved the way she cared enough to look for that part of me.
We all just want to be seen, yes?
