WINET Pays Advocacy Visit to Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs
As part of the "Strengthening Women Rights Organizations for Gender-Based Violence Prevention" project, WINET visited the Abia State Ministry of Women Affairs to strengthen collaboration on women and girls’ rights
Dr. Aghukwa spotlighted the Ahia Oma Market Women Initiative, which has empowered women across LGAs with business support materials like umbrellas and aprons. She promised to brief the First Lady and explore further collaboration.
Together, we can build safer communities where women, girls, and vulnerable persons live with dignity, security, and equal opportunities. The fight against GBV requires all of us !!!

TACKLING GBV IN ENUGU STATE
Enugu State Gender-Based Violence Task Force members were today in a training on "Strengthening GBV Case Reporting, Data Collection, Monitoring and Response Coordination". Our ED, Miriam Menkiti, attended. #EndGBV#WINET
On the Disabilities Commission bill, the Commissioner pledged:
"I will do my part to ensure the bill is signed into law by the Governor."

ANOTHER WIN IN EBONYI STATE 🧵
WINET team & partner WROs visited Ebonyi State Ministry of Grants and Donor Agencies today to brief Commissioner Hon. Solomon Azi on our new GBV prevention project.
Commissioner Hon. Solomon Azi's response:
"This is a responsible engagement with Government as a relevant stakeholder."
He promised WINET all necessary support for the project in Ebonyi State.
