No I believe in situational ethics, and I think that as the world changes (i.e. when birth control or abortion became available) then what is moral changes also. The undeviating principle is to cause no unnecessary harm to others.
Some of the Old Commandments were replaced by “love your neighbor as yourself”.
I am suggesting we are still equally amoral to ancient times (ie. Slavery appears to have been considered moral in the Ten Commandments because the 4th and the 10th commandments specifically mention how to treat servants.).
Now we put our slaves in prison for breaking our sometimes arbitrarily immoral laws and therefore we acknowledge that in ancient times, before prisons were created, we condoned slavery for people who went into debt and we have always been dealing with people who harmed others in a similar manner.
We are Soul. Many parts but each part carries importance. The body endures different measures of hardships. But all important to the Souls Growth. You being you, me being Me. Authenticity living Our Truth. It’s a measure and the Universe searched for a Moment
